Postby iamawesome » Tue Jun 14, 2011 6:43 pm

Someone off trademe wants to know if my 3sgte clutch will fit in his beams st202. Would it work? Keen to get some cash for it. Could my flywheel bolt on and use it? Help appreciated thanks

Yep what he said.

Confirmed by learning the hard/expensive way.

Get him to check his gearbox code - I thought the SS3's had E series boxes (which it will work with)

quick google turned up these pics which, assuming they're from an SS3, show it's an S5* and therefore wont work

Think you are right there Malcom, SSIII with beams 3s I think had the E56. (possibly not all of them?)

Point of interest SW20 with beams 3s had S54.

I recently found this out, as bought a S54 with lsd from an sw20 (ex Roman, then Spencer I beleive?), when trying to track down shifter mechs to suit FWD I found that the gearboxes in the SSIII's all seemed to be E series.
