AE82 FX-GT Shocks and Springs on a AE82 Sedan

Postby ebgamer » Wed Jun 15, 2011 9:18 pm

Hi all,

I got a AE82 Corolla Sedan a few weeks ago and want to lower it. Its pretty hard to find any sedans with second had shocks and springs but ive managed to find multiple FX-GT's with the parts i need.

My question is.. will the FXGT shocks (whole tower) fit onto a AE82 sedan? The fxgt came factory with front and rear disk brakes and my AE82 sedan has front disks and drums on the rear.

Any help would be appreciated, apart from ripping the rear ones out and test fitting not sure if they will suit. Hopefully someone else out there has tried to do this :P

Cheers,

- Cub3y

do you know where i can get some shocks reasonably cheap? My car is completely standard atm, needs to be lower, the body roll is killer.

The shocks and springs i was looking at were monroe gas shocks and jamex lowering springs from a fxgt here in palmy

Have an AE101 GT rear sway bar, if it interests you?
Makes a massive difference to the amount of body roll, limits it right down.

There will be a knowledgeable Toyspeeder that can help with that question.

Unsure about the fitment myself, sorry.

For price; it owes me around $75, happy with reasonable offers.

I will be swapping in fxgt suspension to a liftback - would think the sedan is the same, check toyodiy for part numbers.
