interchangeable fpr onto 20v rail to suit boost?

Postby AE25 » Sat Jun 25, 2011 10:58 pm

so im looking for a suitable oem fuel pressure reg to bolt onto a 4age 20v fuel rail that will extend the pressure range to suit boost.
anyone know of any boosted toyota's with an interchangeable regulator?
cheers

I ran the standard one for years on up to 20psi with no problems.

Stock one on mine with a modifided top so i could run a bit more base pressure when I was tight and only had 550cc injectors, now back to standard, unless your running two 044s which would probably overpower a stock reg then standard will be fine

oh real, didn't realise the std one had enough range for high boost.
i've found a supercharged estima 1tz-fze reg which fits if you slot one hole a couple mm. but it looks similar to the 20v reg so yeah i'll do some pressure tests to compare. sounds like ive created a problem that didnt exist!
cheers for replies

plan is to run st205 540cc side feeders in the stock 20v rail and a 2nd fuel rail in the plenum injecting down the trumpets with st185 440cc side feeders. so its running std fuel pressures but twice as many injectors and should be enough fuel to supply 400 or so ponies? Link g4 ecu running sequential injection on both rails. have sourced in tank fuel pumps from st185 3sgt and a ma70 7mgt. thinking to set these up inside a surge tank with an unboltable top flange feeding a single fuel line and splitting into the two rails. pumps could be staged and 2nd one turn on under load conditions? so long as both regs on the rails are equal in pressure I can't think why it wouldn't work. any ideas on that?
