Anyone up for a quick welding job?
Basically need to cut 2 taps of my steel tanks, and cut holes and weld 2 more back on in a different position. Already have 2 new threaded bits to weld on, so not a big job. Need to bring welder here, have 3 phase and normal power sockets.

Beer or money offered. Prefer if you can come this Friday to look and do the welding on Monday at some stage when it suits.

I'm going to guess stainless? Metal type will make a big difference so need to know.

Not stainless, as there is surface rust on the outside.

give Simon at SURFAB a call 0273150064, best & cheapest welding/fab work in chch. has had a plethora of cars featured in performance car etc

Guessed wrong then I guess, just didn't think a mild steel tank would last very long. Can't help though sorry, too much effort to move my gears. Good luck getting it sussed.

Will he come to you?
These tanks are far to heavy to move with 2 people.
