Damn, US$ pushing through 84 today? Wowsers! In the recent history of the US$, this has happened twice in 15 years? 20 years? Seriously team, this isn't a flogging - if you are eyeing up anything from the US hit us up. We even switch to US arms of the same Japanese company to get better prices - like 5Zigen who are both in the US and Japan - so even if you think a brand is Japanese only, ask!

This is a pretty rare event indeed, with prices for parts being so cheap. At a fairly normal 65c in the dollar, parts would be 34% more expensive. That means something that costs $1 now, would cost $1.34 when (and they will) the exchange rates come back down. Jump on it!

In case you think we're kidding:

http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news ... d=10740990

Selective quotes:

The New Zealand dollar has risen over 5 per cent this month and 20 per cent this year. It was last at these levels in mid-1981, when the currency was still regulated by the Muldoon Government's central bank.

Do you want to wait another 20years for prices to be as cheap as they are right now?

The surge has left the kiwi within striking distance of doubling its nominal value - US44c - when it was floated in March 1985.

Don't forget, in Feb of 2008 the US$ hit another low (during the recession) of 48 I believe - very near that 26 year low of 1985. Over the last 3 years, prices on your goodies have halved, and with our constant pursual of cheaper shipping and part prices, we're bringing the costs down too.

If it's on the auctions it's no problem. It'll ship direct to you, so if there's any Customs fees and GST due, you'd get a notice about it to pay it - nothing different than normal self-importing.

Just order from T3, tell them the dimension of your top hat bolt pattern.

Been a while since I bumped this but noticed today the US$ is back up over 84 - which is super strong (and therefore cheap) for US Parts so if you inquired about parts within the last month, ask again!
