Oh how times changed, I got flamed for pointing out why it was a bad idea years ago :lol:

It might suit on a drag car. When moving very slowly or not at all (like when staging, waiting or on the return road) there won't be the air flow to create the high pressure zone. So then the "heat rises" rule will apply.

so if you were really clever and wanted to be full dwift-spic, you would centreline pivot your bonnet to catch max air when sideways, and act as an air brake for turn in

I think it's a great idea! All cefiro, laurel etc etc.. owners with chopped springs, huge camber and rear steelies driving on public roads should go to the nearest track and do this!

Reminds me of a news article the other night about the roads being dangerous, and a video clip of a driver "struggling with the conditions."

Video was of the typical above mentioned cefiro snaking down the street in the snow deliberately, lol.

I understand there is a level of inherent Toyota vs Honda hate as there is with Ford and Holden. Plenty of knobs drive Hondas, Nissans, Mitsis, VWs, BMWs, Subarus and Toyotas.
As for claims that B18Cs are shit motors. it's frankly not true. I've owned one (all be it years ago) and they are a seriously strong and fast NA engine. I was however beaten by a friend in an SSII 3SGE Celica.

We are supposedly car enthusiasts on this forum surely we can appreciate the engineering of other brands regardless of the look or the stereotype of the driver. Lets leave the Hate at the door.
