Oh I'm not talking about the All Blacks. I'm talking about how the entire country is acting as if the RWC is the be all and end all to all our problems and we will all get rich from it.
I will place a bet that after there will be a call for heads to roll and enquiry into all the money that was wasted on it.

+1, same thing happened here when people found out how much running the V8's has cost the HCC.

Lets see how much less money it loses now that a very experienced company is promoting the event.

You have to spend money to make money or so the saying goes.

Who do you put your money on for rookie of the year?

I'm going with Sergio Perez.

Rookie of the year two years in a row for Sauber 8)

And Sauber just re signed their drivers with no issues or false media releases. Should make things a little more stable with less nervous drivers.

Rugby is not as big as you think. Media are all over it but I have had a few conversations with South African imports who can't believe how apathetic the general population is towards rugby. They have problems finding people to talk to who are interested. In Auckland we have a substantial part of the population who don't come from (or hail from) rugby countries.

Its called evolution :)

Im giving rookie of the year to Di Resta, regardless of his points tally, he has out performed Sutil admirably at lots of races this year, just had lots of bad luck during alot of races too.

Perez has done well though

Webber didn't get enough heat into his tyres in his warm up lap as he was help up by Button (fairly) and also had an issue with DRS (self inflicted I think) in the first sector, the rest of the lap he matched Seb.
So can hardly pan him out right because of that.

Never let the facts get in the way of a good story though...right?

 at taking one example and trying to infer its the norm in F1. A very simplistic way of accessing someones performance, if ever I saw one.

Seb was spinning off the track last week, and hes champion, go figure.

On another note, again, a huge shame to see Mitch Evans have a DNF and slip further back in the standings, 11 points behind Sims. Hopefully tonights race will bring some points, but starting from the back wont be easy. Race start at 6.30 for those who are keen to watch :)

I didnt see where he crashed on the last lap. I must have looked away at the wrong time. Now he has fallen from first to sixth in the championship in a matter of weeks. :(

You just cant afford to have 4 DNS races in a row with the competition being so close. I hope the second half of the season turns around for him.

Looking forward to the GP2 race in 5 minutes. I wonder if it will still be wet? Or even wetter? Would be good to see a wet f1 race for the second time in over two decades to spice things up ;)

Lucky you.

Atleast you can hear what a naturally aspirated V8 sounds like doing 18,000rpm, before they are muffled with snails in 2014.

Cherish it :)

Didn't see where Mitch crashed either, but he went from 14th (i think) to + 2 laps, so he parked it up somewhere, maybe it wasn't in the tyres, either way, not the result he would have liked

How did Massa go when it mattered though ohh thats right he spun and hit the barriers..C'mon Massa's average at best and in quali the sun shines on a dog's ar$e somedays and clearly this was Massa's day as he isn't in the same class as Alonso.

If I recall, there was more than one Ferrari that left the track a few times....

Have to admit I didn't expect to see "Button" on the top of the list when I checked this morning!

on his 200th GP start and the place where he got his first win!
