Anybody have a JZA80 I could borrow? :P

Postby RoadskiN » Sat Jul 30, 2011 1:08 pm

I'm thinking about acquiring a JZA80, but it's an issue of parking space where I live. I live on Queens Wharf and our apartment has two underground parks, but one of them has a huge concrete pillar taking up half of one.

So really we only have 1.5 parks which are currently occupied by my flatmates 89 fiat uno and my 04 hyundai getz that I want to sell.

By numbers the Supra is 145mm wider than the Getz, but I figure the best way to see if it fits is to try it with one.

So anybody got a jza80 and a spare 30min? :)

Haha yeah, the getz fits fine with its mirrors out. So if a jza80 is anything like an ae111, it should have the electronic mirror retract that I could do before squeezing into the park :P

If you can, reverse one of the cars in. That way you can have a bigger gap between the drivers doors and immovable objects :)

Si - probably the Uno. Squeezing a Supra in backwards might not be too fun lol.

Stott69 - he gets his own park that's open on 3 sides, you'll see for yourself. PM'd :)

Haha, yeah, I was considering buy that V8 one before I picked up my current one then decided to stick with the 2JZ... plus uncontrollable wheel spin was more then a little daunting  I'm sure it sold to that guy for 21k though, profit margin much?

All good Potatoskin, just playing. You just missed out on the 90,000 km series 2, red, stock, 6-speed SZ-R on TradeMe about a month ago! Sold for 10k and was up in Palmerston :o
