Blowing EFI fuse ...

Postby XSVWGN » Sat Aug 06, 2011 1:02 pm

Hey guys last night i took my 4agte corolla wagon out for a blat to make sure everything was all good before it gets a dyno inspection tune on monday at Speedtech in Wellington and it blew the EFI fuse.

What could cause this? I replaced the fuse and car was good to go. Fuse looks like it exploded! I will post pics when i find my camera

most obvious thing would be worn insulation on one of the wires in the ECU power circuit touching and shorting.

check out the wiring, including the 12V feed to the injectors, and anything you've spliced into those wires (Turbo timer?)
Ignition is seperate usually, and so is fuel pump.
Reality: A nasty hallucination that is caused by excess blood in the alcohol stream.

haha thanks george. I will be heading to powerhaus early to try a few things out and get my bumper and exhaust sorted before speedtech on monday. Fuse hasnt blown like that in 5 years. Used to do it occasionally when i had the sc14 4agze setup in it ..
