There ended up being much more snow. The whole road and driveway turned white. There was about 20-30mm.

It just hailed so hard here in South Auckland that it was practically snow. Never seen hail that intense in my life. Nothing compared to what you guy's are getting, but took some shots anyway:

The thermometer in my shed overlooking Cook Straight says it is 2 degrees, but it feels colder lol

Getting to the railway station was fun. Everything is covered in a lovely combination of ice and snow. Drove there at 10kph in first gear.

The snow has now been up to the height of the roofracks of the Corolla for a day and a half. Didn't even melt off all day yesterday parked at the J'ville railway station.

Tawa is abit boring. Dry roads and barely any snow other places. My door handles were frozen shut and so were the doors.

Driving up to Paraparaumu for work was just a normal day all the way from home.

Had to get the workmate out of the van yesterday to push it from one intersection. Just couldn't get enough traction on the rear wheels to move forwards! :lol:
