50 plus cars abandoned at the bottom of my hill, in the middle of the road, on the grass, mounting the curb etc in Lower Hutt by 5pm yesterday. Had the Curren which has an LSD so is a bit better but wish I had the Landcruiser yesterday!

One Forster hit a tree which is a shame.

At first it looked like we'd have to abandon the Curren about 200 meters up the hill because 3 or 4 cars couldn't get any further in front of me. Those cars were abandoned and I was about to start the loooong steep walk when a 4wd slowly creeped up past us so I gave it death and managed to get another 500m or so but the higher we went the worse the ice.snow got so pull over in a safe(er) spot.

Walked home and checked that the 4wd tyre for the Landcruiser which had been going down even after Tony's had tried to fix the leak 3 times but this time it had held pressure so spent 30 min swapping to the good offroad tyres and went back down to help.

Never seen anything like it!

It actually look like a reasonably special Forester *googles* yep think it was an STI version, of which I didn't know existed until about 12 words ago

Shall check how the tree is feeling after work and report back.

last night some Muppet tried to take the corner outside my work at the usual dry speed with 2 " of snow on the road. He managed to put his falcon into the culvert by Robinson engineering with the roof below road level . You will be pleased to hear that the culvert will be fine , and the fence is repairable

"Understeer" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"Oversteer" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"Horsepower" is how fast you hit the fence.
"Torque" is how far you take the fence with you.

I missed it all as well, I was eating sausage and drinking copious amounts of wodka in Krakow, Poland.

Kinda feel a bit gutted that I missed the snow though, Our next door neighbour tagged me in a photo of our car under snow in the driveway, I had stuff.co.nz set as my homepage while I was away so I could keep up with what was going on, I saw snow forcast for Wellington and I just though - yeah whatever until I saw friends pictures on FB - Wow!

My Iceman is much weirder than yours. Massive marble sized hail stones. Turned my red car white.
