Technically a car question... RC Car.

Having a couple issues with screws coming loose in my offroader.
Went racing today and 3 came loose

Is there any kinda locktite type substance that I can use on metal screws to hold it into the plastic?
Plastics not stripped either.

Loctite do make a plastic glue, but it works by melting the plastic together, probably not what you want. Tried shakeproof washers?

No room to fit them... Had thought about that though.
Someone mentioned to me superglue?

What about model cement?

Model cement works much the same, melts the two plastic surfaces together to form the bond. If there is enough room you could drill the heads and lockwire them?

Personal experience...remove the part, clean around the screw holes then put one drop of super glue onto the hole and "blow" it in. Let it cure and then the resulting hole will be somewhat stronger than it was. Depending on the brand, some plastic parts are not much chop. Also some aftermarket screws have finer threads than OEM ones. I bought some 3 Racing Titanium replacements for a Touring car and the threads were noticeably smaller.

I used to do this regularly to steering knuckles as the lower screw holding them would often work loose.

Yeah i have an issue with the suspension arm screws coming out. I can swing off the screw driver and they go in tight, no stripping, feels solid... but I'm having to tighten them after each run.
Might try the super glue thing.

One of the low strength Loctite thread lockers no good? I think 222 is one for small/fine thread screws

loctite have a pretty big range these days, go have a nose - plenty of info on the bottles about applications etc

Loctite super glue would probably be your best bet. Its pretty strong stuff.

Thanks guys...

One of the things is that I have to be able to get the screw out. Everytime I go out racing I have to pull most of the car to bits to clean it.
