Even though Senna did himself proud, its very hard to see the full picture on a changing track. I believe Petrov had a car issue as Bruno said as much in an interview when asked about their comparative speed.

Regarding Maldonado, he is claiming he was just trying to drive around a "very slow" Hamilton when they made contact. I think for anyone watching, it was fairly clear that he swerved into Hamilton in retaliation for Lewis' move at the final corner a few hundred metres earlier. End result, Pastor given a 5 place grid drop, Hamilton slapped on the wrist.

Ive got every part of my body crossed for a mixed weather race tonight, it will be spectacular if the GP2 feature race was anything to go by.

Congrats to Roman on winning the Gp2 series too :) I wonder if it will be enough to give him a seat at LRGP next year?

Schumacher has a huge mountain to climb to get back into the points but I believe he will do it. It would be great for him to have a fairy tale race given his history at this circuit. 20 Years in F1 deserves a little luck surely?

Great race, was awesome to see them not afraid to go side by side into eau rouge.
Hope they sort the tyre issues for next year, what's the point in having two compounds if teams want to only use one, even with the options's rapid wear rate they still lose too much time going to the prime tyre.

Was a pretty good racing, some hairy/exciting moments as said above. Webber and Alonso into Eau Rouge was one of the scariest moments I have seen in a long time, really thought that was going to be a big one!

I do like Hamilton, but geez he does some bone headed things some time, and then DC in the commentary is a knobhead trying to blaim Kobayashi.

Only thing that was a bit dissapointing was the DRS zone, was to big, most cars were well and truely past by the time they reached the braking zone, took the skill out of the overtake at Spa. In reality, I dont think Spa needs a DRS Zone, its always been a good track for hard wheel to wheel racing, seems they have sanitised it even more now with the DRS up to Les Coombes. As it is, they need to do something to make Eau Rouge back to the moster it used to be, where you really needed big balls to even think about going flat, these days you can sit in someones slipstream and not think twice about leaving your foot planted.

I hate not being able to watch races when it's at places like Spa :x

I agree with your comments re DRS. Reading a review of the race it seems Vettel pretty much used it to retake the lead every time.
Should be restricted to tracks that need it. Spa always shows up the good drivers and allows over taking.

Its the ECU going into anti-stall mode. It wasnt something that Mark did himself and has happened on a few occasions this year.

What a race, so many things going on but a shame there wasnt a little sprinkle to spice it up even more hehe

The onboard footage of Michael first few laps is awesome, with some pretty on the edge driving. Its a huge shame the director didnt choose to show that channel on the world feed as making up 13 places in two laps deserves to be watched. Very impressive drive to come from 24th to 5th, it just goes to show that once Mercedes sort their car out, the certainly dont need to wonder if Michael still has the talent to deliver if the car is there.

My favourite part was seeing Hamilton smash through and Allianz sign when he went off :P

Great result for Stannaway in GP3, great debut and has carried on the qudos for NZ drivers in that class. The commentators really talked him up!

As was said above a sprinkle would have really added to what was a great race! As much as I'm not an Alonso fan he had some great speed early on before going to the harder tyre.

Spa= the best god Da*n F-1 race on the calendar.

I mean seeing Alonso early going through Eau Rouge and blasting Hamilton down the straight is worth the price of admission itself.

The say those Renault powered RBR cars are down on straight line power,I'm calling BS on that right now,I've heard apparently these Renault engines are mean't to be 30 odd HP down on the others...Please it sure did'nt look like it to me.

As above its good to see another Kiwi make his mark Richie Stannaway c'mon down great result.

Well how are the other Renault powered cars going?
Could be due to the better aero of the RBR cars, I mean they had KERS issues coz of the tight packaging dictated by their aero....

Well finally Monza has arrived :) The most exciting start to a race of the season, imho.

I am interested to see what the top speeds are over the weekend, especially in FP's and quali. Given the DRS and KERS, and one off, Monza spec bodys and floors, I expect they will be the fastest they have been in about 6 years, most likely not in overall lap time, but in terminal velocity atleast.

The fastest I can recall in recent years was Alesi doing 367.something km/h on the old(read better) Hockenhiem circuit and I dont expect that to be beaten this weekend, but some high 350's would be nice.

Go Schuey :)

I found the most interesting thing of this weekend being the comparison between laptimes of the Pirelli's v the Bridgestones a whole 2 seconds quicker over there quickest race laps man thats heaps I thought that was interesting when the commentry team mentioned that.

Outside of that the race was a YAWN....RBR please is it worth the other teams turning up as supposedly the quicker tracks were there weakness but god Da*n after Vettel made Alonso's Ferrari look like a snail it was game over after lap 5..
