Yeah they always get the ones who just miss clearing the intersection by half a car but not the constant red light runners. Just unlucky you got pinged for it.

The joke about going through an amber light is that you shouldn't worry about yourself, worry about the two cars and 18-wheeler that followed you through...

I recall a letter floating round once upon a time of some guy who got a ticket and the cop filled out all kinds of fields wrong, so we wrote a letter in saying all this stuff like having to travel at warp speed and being born in the future and stuff. In the end they waived it due to the ticket being filled out incorrectly.

And then there was that one where they wrote the persons occupation as "kitchen bitch"

I refuse to stop at Orange lights. Hit from behind twice, and so many close calls that its not worth it. Back/neck still is really tight/sore from the last one over a year ago, just not worth the cost of paying for the pysio because some muppet would rather pay attention to their kids/mates/lipstick/phone/whats on the radio, rather than concentrate on I don't know, actually what they're doing driving. At $15-30 buck ACC surcharge on physio thats 5-10 sessions of pysio for every ticket you might get for running a red light.
Until they start policing the people who rear end you seriously, I'll keep on sailing thru oranges if there's anyone behind me. IMO should be a charge of careless driving if you hit someone from behind at traffic lights. Cause if that aint careless I don't know what is.

Buses & middleaged women were the worst in Dunedin, and in Tauranga/Rotovegas I find its trucks and middle aged women. Not sure why its hard to concentrate on driving for some people.

But about the ticket, I would write in, I mean technically they've creted a new person that doesn't exist, and can't be lodged by the courts for a person to pay, if that person doesn't exist. No differnt to you supplying false details, and cops don't like that, so why should they be allowed to get away with it. Might teach them to pay attention in their job too.

Bout 10 years ago my dad got caught close to 'lose you license speed' and got stung with a massive fine. Mum noticed that the date and the day written on the ticket didn't match up, wrote in and got it wiped. However it cost him a gold bracelet for her next birthday so he didn't really win.

If the details are wrong (specifically dates) then the infraction is null and void.

Me and my mate were talking about this... such a common thing in Christchurch people running red lights.
We thought we would buy an old 80's Volvo brick, bull bars, high stall converter, nos, line locker, rear slicks and everytime we came to a set of lights load the engine up, soon as the light turns green drop the brake and hit the nos

Tried that once, cop wrote on a non-existant date (like 29th of Feb on a non leap year, or was it 32nd of whatever, was a while ago couldn't remember).

So he just refills another ticket with the correct details and sends it to me again.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.
