The previous model Camry was actually a good car to drive. Just looked sooo ugly!
I'm not expecting this thing to be lots of fun though
Been for a ride in it and it seemed fine.
Will take a long time to get used to no engine noise when around town though!

you will be pleasantly surprised

they're a bloody good car. plenty of torque low down from the electric motor, they pull out of corners very nicely. just gotta watch for the torque steer  And they've got a different steering rack and stiffer shocks compared to the normal camry. Certainly felt more settled through the corners than my old Aurion.

But how many could you fit in the back? :P

You should've just rolled it and told them that it wouldn't do well as a Rally car and they should give you a refund

^^^^^ Nawwww looks like a big fluffy cloud, suits you well

SH45 in Taranaki, always good when I drove that.

Haywards hill (Hutt to Whitby) is always good if you get a clear run, followed on by around the bays (Whitby to plimerton)

Not a bad drive but it is very hard not to get caught up behind someone.

As a young fulla I remember being a passenger on that road while the old man gave his mates new clubsport a thrashing (he was egging him on too)

Auckland to Wanganui via National Park then the Para Paras (Raetihi - Wanganui), Blast up the Coast on SH45 and take some photos and shite..

Crash somewhere in NP for the night, then back via the forgotten highway, Kawhia and Raglan..

Sounds like a plan..

Get hold of an A5 spiral bound booklet that has Targa on the front cover and follow it!! Doesn't matter what year - they're all good :D Even most of the touring stages are good roads let alone the stages....

x2

Managed to drive a few stages myself when tail-end charlie was re-opening the roads a few years back (was part of start crew)

Amazing how many good roads we have tucked away in the middle of no where

I ended up hating that road! I drove that hill 7 times in 4 days in a crapy 2010 Toyota Corolla rental (it was a disgusting car - can't believe Toyota put their name to it and furthermore it's ruining the good Corolla marque. I'd take a Hyundai 45 or a Mazda 3 instead anyday...I digress).

The first couple times it was awesome, but as the days progressed I got more and more sick of it. Especially if you get stuck behind a truck or campervan.

Riverhead / Coatsville or Waimauku / Muriwai I can easilly do a couple times a day, for months on end, so I don't think it was it case of doing it too much.

Used to be a lot better when the speed limit was 100km/h.. even in a 2E powered EE90 8)
