what brakes do i have?

Postby themaleman » Mon Sep 26, 2011 11:42 pm

hey im replacing my front wheel bearings on my ae92 gtz, but im not sure what hubs im using? - which bearings to buy

i think im either using the factory ae92 gtz brakes or
ae101 hubs and brakes or ae82 hubs with gtz axels?

i am confused because i have to sets of hubs, both with the big gtz axels, but one set has bigger brake rotters (256mm) and these are the ones im using.

my turbo setup (complete with gearbox and axels hubs ect) came out of a ae82. so 1 set could have been the factory ae82 hubs?(if the big axels would fit the hubs)

the hubs im using have 256mm brake rotters.

i think the possibilities are..
factory ae92 gtz hubs (came from my car origanly)
ae101 gtz hubs
ae82 hubs with gtz axels

all have single pot calipers

not ideal but if ya just whip them out they with have numbers on them, pop down to BNT and they will sort you out, and be able to tell you which ones they are.

I believe AE92 GTZ rotors and AE101 GT-Apex non-SS Rotors are the same items...

ok the combinations i had were,
my standard set of gtz axels and hubs, and
ae82 hubs with gtz axels.

the tell tail was on the smaler hubs, the lower balljoint had 10mm studs where the ae92 has 12mm.
cheers bazda for that 1!
