yeah bigger sidewalls ftw.

small cars on big rims look like rollerskates to me, even those racecar pics that snoozin posted which are totally justified in having big wheels.

I do <3 having 15's on the Levin, much cushier than 17's. The 101s look good with bigger wheels though, Corollas have huge wheel arches

+1 million votes for 15's.

Considering the supreme effort you have put into the OEM+ japanese quirkiness in every other area I have always felt your wheels dragged down the whole.

I agree. I would really prefer to go no higher than +35, but since I'd be buying the wheels secondhand I don't really have a lot of choice, unless I use spacers. If I were to buy some wheels brand new however, I'd definitely be going for a +30 to +35 offset and a 7" to 8" width wheel.

My thoughts exactly. If I was to ever use 15's I'd either have to use massively tall tyres or lower the car right down. Easier just to stick with the 17's :)

Yeah I can imagine how much comfier the 15's would be over the 17's. I remember that the original 14's made it feel as if I was driving on a cloud :lol:. What's the body-roll like with 15's coupled with large sidewall tyres though? The body-roll reduced significantly when I changed from 14's (can't remember the exact tyre size but they were pretty tall) to 17's with 205/40's.

Thank you for your honesty. A set of TOM's or TRD wheels would definitely compliment the other OEM parts/options nicely 8)

I got my Tom's C3R's for a hundy with shitty kingstars on em...non car people dont think much of old 15's, so they're worth next to nothing 2ndhand.
Bodyroll is fairly minimal, but I have replaced all the suspension in it

Body roll with the same rolling circumference is going to be identical assuming the same tire pressures and similar tire construction.

As increasing the rolling circumference more than a small margin is illegal and just generally not a very good idea, I fail to see how an appropriately sized 15" wheel and tire combo (e.g 195/50/15's) is going to result in any difference (other than visual I suppose) in ride height.

You should try bolting on my set of Racing Hart CP-035's with 205/50/15's and see what you think. Take it for a fang and then tell me you don't want 15's ;)

BTW I bought those for $700 with brand new Toyo T1R's, there are plenty of NICE, original Japanese performance wheels out there. Psssst, check honda forums :p

Agree - my 17's with 215/45 tyres were virtually identical in diameter to my 15's with 215/60's (from memory that was the size).

I would argue it made the ride firmer and a lot less forgiving.
