649 kW (870 shp) derated to 425 kW (570 hp) is what the spec sheet says, after 1.5hrs its still very fresh..

I have built half the current airframe so no big loss to scrap and start again. It was built using 4agze sizing

Its a jet engine hooked up to a turbo-prop gearbox...

Funny what you can buy nowdays...

do you like movies about gladiators??

have you ever been in a... in a Turkish prison??

You ever…seen a grown man naked?

F-14 are cool if your tom cruise...

Not going to build a replica jet as fly by wire is Fing expensive and would prefer something pre-1950

What engine is he using? a Rotex or lycomming is common..

It is a turboprop so it should make decent power considering the excessive fuel use...

A radial only making 280hp? Are you able to ask which one?

Tell him a Double wasp Jnr makes 1300HP and you can buy one for $5000+gst or a Double Wasp 2100hp for around 15,000+gst

I've been up in that - it's AWESOME!!!!

So how long do you expect it to take to build the plane and get it flying? I imagine it being something that could take years.

And how the hell did you convince your wife to let you build & fly your own plane? My GF of 7 years won't even let me sit on a motorcycle.
