E58 gear box

hey im looking at buying a new gear box for my blacktop 4age are the E58 from the AE101 4AGZE and if so how do i no for sure its a E58 box will it have it stamped some where ??

any help would be good cheers

Wouldn't use a E58 on a Blacktop, it would suck the life out of it. They have very long gears since they are designed for the bottom end torque of the 4agze.

Don;t think there is an E58 stamped anywhere on them.

If you just want it for the LSD, get a C56 instead.

aw buga thats not what i wanted to hear haha but it will be beter than my one for now mines about to pop do they bolt straight up no problems?? like cv shaffs inputs are the same ??

Bad news again, E58 LSD has specific shafts. Bellhousing bolts will line up fine its the same engine block.

E58 is just about the worst thing you could hope to bolt in there.
Go search out a C56 box

Get one from pick a part for $120ish, i picked up 2 c56-04c's (LSD) from there for that price :)
