Sorry mate all my money is well and truly tied up in my gearbox rebuild/swap at the moment, so I have nothing spare for any luxuries like go karts and fancy food.

Will see you at the next one though :)

If you did do any sort of Wellington meet during Labour weekend, there's motorsport that can be viewed on Sunday (Port Road Street Sprint), and on Monday if it isn't raining, there's grass playing that you can watch or enter at Eastern Hutt Road Silverstream (just North of Silverstream Tip Road junction).

Monday grass playing requires helmet + overalls + $20 (viewing free). Sunday viewing is free, but the event is fully booked out so no chance to drive there.

Thanks for the heads up about those two events Leon, I always seem to miss port road as its not really common knowledge unless youre a member of a car club etc.

Even though viewing is terrible, its always alot of fun to watch the entire field for a couple of runs.

Are you entering?

Port Road is the easy one ... they run it twice a year every year, and on the same exact day every year 8) Wellington Anniversary Weekend Sunday. Labour Weekend Sunday.

View on Barnes St, not at the start line 8O

Yup, I'm giving it a go this year. Hopefully my Port Rd voodoo doesn't have a go at me again. I've had one year with a blowing EFI fuse, and one year with a snapped exhaust. Hopefully I don't drive into the sea or a building or suchlike this year.

Yeah I always noticed it was on at a similar time every year, I just never realised it was actually the same 2 weekends every year, so again, thanks for that info.

I always view it from Barnes street when I go, no point at the start line really.

Good luck for the day too :)
