loation of the neutral start switch 4age BT

Postby magweal » Tue Oct 25, 2011 10:24 pm

Does any1 know where the neutral start switch is on a AE101 black top. i'm running a man ECU with a man box but auto looms and not starting, not even the check engine or oil lights on the dash. I'm think of by passing the switch and open circuit relay for the fuel pump

Most if not all automatics have them on the box, combined with the reverse switch, and it will be inline with the selector.

Maybe a yellow round plug, two wires, iirc, one goes to the starter motor, or a relay nearby, i think, it's pretty easy to find, tbh.

it will be a gray or black, wide multi-pin switch, that normally lives on gearbox (in area under the battery).

On AE101 it is possible to insert a fuse to into the switch to short the the NSW. Not sure on AE111.

I just noticed that you are running manual ECU with auto loom.
I am not sure about AE111 but I am 100% with AE101 they are not plug and play, even if plugs fit there is huge chance that ECU will not run as the pin out could be different.

I can't belive how easy that was just had to bridge 2 wire in the plug. No just the exhaust and vacum-fuel lined 2 go
