I'm running, and am very pleased with E30. I would be running E85 but I currently burn 113 liters (out of 120) in a 250km enduro. E85 would mean either a larger tank (which isn't possible) or a refuel (and I'd loose).
The offroader runs cooler on E30 (than av gas) and produces almost identical power at the same boost levels. Turbos are spooling slightly later (250RPM) however this may just be a function of tuning, as I clipped Walter (NZEFI) while he was playing and surging the turbo's. I'll never use 2500RPM in a sequential box with 118kph first gear.
On the emotive side. The car just sounds "happier". It doesn't sound like it's a bunch of metalic parts trying to rip each other to pieces and as such I'm using more RPM. It's hard to quantify, but the additional fuel may be giving it a wetter sound, which doesn't have that high pitch metalic bark that lean burn gives.
I'm running alcothane . Prices on the alcothane.co.nz website.
