Fielder z help...

Postby doin donuts » Tue Nov 08, 2011 3:13 pm

Hey all,

Wife just got herself a 2000 fielder z(tiptronic),we just went on its first long trip since we got it and I was overtaking a truck and I accelerated-not heavily but enough to make the car drop down a gear, them it's started to feel like it was valve bouncing but wasn't high enough revs and the check engine light came on!!

Stopped, turned car off and on again and light was gone and car drives fine.

Any ideas or anyone here have a diagnostic tool that can do any checks for me? I'm in Auckland

Thanks all
Doug

You might be able to diagnose yourself. If it's anything like a Caldina locate the check connector (usually be close to the drivers door in a compartment around where your knees are). Bridge TC & CG and turn on the ignition. Count the engine flashes then look them up on google work out what the issue is.

Probably easier then having everyone guess - but it sounds like a faulty sensor perhaps.
