Buying a new car .. suggestions?

Its even had the clutch done!

The mrs had one before getting a new 3.0R and its wasn't that gutless with the 2ltr and manual box, went bloody well up the mountain too.

How about a Honda Orthia? If you can get past the fact that they're a Honda, I think you'd be pleasantly surprised. Cheap to buy and run, and being Honda they'd be pretty reliable. The 4WD model comes in 2 litre, plus you'd pick up a tidy one for half your budget.

Btw +1 for not buying a Subaru. They've got bad reputation for a reason.

Whats the Honda 4WD system like though? Dont hear too much about them via work, though I know they have their own random fluid for it.

I'm in Queenstown at the moment, every second car is a Subaru, the other half are euro 4WD,s (and 2 Ferrari FF's)

No more turbos, especially not that trusting of the whole manifold warping issue on the GTT, and I'm pretty sure more people thrash GTTs than an old person's H6 subaru haha.

I will look into the Honda option, never even really considered it. Cheers

PS: 2 Ferrari FFs?? YES! Those things are amazing

Not every day you come across a phat honda orthia haha. If the dude can't afford a phone to call he probably can't afford an oil change... probably not the best selling point.

They seem to be pretty good cars, text drove a couple at the start of the year, there just weren't any without mountains of bog in the panels or fibreglass round the sides.

Get a car that's incapable of hitting 100 (Like a chevette or an Imp)

Or if you need something newer, some agricultural spec diesel 4wd.

For the heater to work you would need to be able to get it to start in the cold
