Ae111 super strut to mc pherson conversion question

Postby KIPH8N » Sun Nov 27, 2011 11:35 pm

I have a bzr going to do McPherson conversion soon
I have trd super strut coilovers all around and trd sway bar now.

Just wanting to know if the trd sway bar will fit the the McPherson hub or do i have to put the standard ones in.

This is what is says on the certification.

Why do you want to swap to Mac strut?
Odd that they have put the sway bars on the cert plate :?

Super strut are quite costly.
Would rather have Mac coilovers. Rear Mc coilovers are leaking anyway.
Getting a Mac conversion done for 500.

What do you think.

front sway bars are definitely different between MS and SS. I could be interested in the SS TRD one of you go through with the conversion though. :)

Yeah if someone could swap their TRD mcPherson one with my superstrut one. Really want a good sway bar in my car. Il have to go with smaller brake too.

Good luck with that lol. I don't think many do the conversion in the opposite direction. I guess your running a factory rear swaybar? In which case does it under steer much?

Can get ultra racing MS front swaybars still. http://forums.toyspeed.org.nz/viewtopic.php?t=85933

Im in the middle of building 2 sets of coilovers to suit the SS on the corollas.

I would actually like a car to test fit them on so I can get my shock lengths right.

Anyone keen? on the north shore?
