Hmmm you kind of have to give him credit for doing skids in a car with no engine.

They need to give priority to these cases so the crushing order comes through while the car is still in police impound. Bit of a joke to crush a stripped shell while the owner gets to keep his engine, rims etc.

I'm surprised they didn't serve him a non-disposal order, and list the engine/box etc on there.

...and that reaction summarised is?

NVM it's in the section you can view without being a member http://www.nissansilvia.co.nz/osiris/vi ... =1&t=60027

Summary is lots of crying about how someone caught doing skids 3 times in 4 years is being harshly treated. People reminiscing about how 10-15 years ago they could break the law by being a nuisance on the road but now it's unfair people get done for doing it.

QFT

I mean FFS you have to be charged THREE times over two years.

This law has been put in place to directly target a stereotype. It's profiling, and borderline discrimination. Simply being of a certain age group, and owning a certain kind of car means that you are at risk of punishments far more severe than those dished out to people committing much worse crimes

Didn't stop the guy with a Merc? getting done under the boy racer law for doing a burnout despite pleading he wasn't a boy racer

Three times over four years I think is the legal requirement to get your car crushed, but the hero that is the topic of this thread clocked up 3 in just over a year (sept '10 - sept '11). He was never going to make it.

So, does this mean that every time he gets caught doing 'skidz' from now on the car gets crushed, or does his count go back to zero and have to be worked up to three again?

Impounding his car for doing skids, win

Issueing a warrant for the crushing of his car, fukn excellent

Letting him have his car back so he can take anything worth money and leaving a shell worth 50 bucks, biggest fukn mockery of the system Ive seen for a while
