Blacktop motor swap, fuel pissing everywhere on startup.

Postby RobertC » Thu Dec 15, 2011 5:06 pm

So i changed the motor and box in my car today. Blacktop 20v came out and another blacktop 20v has gone in, to replace it.

On start up I have fuel pissing out the motor rums fine BUT the metal pipe marked with red blew the hose off and sprays fuel everywhere. (the hose goes to the power steering wrack) The other photo shows the other end of the hose.

What have I done wrong?

Its in an ae111

Might have got the red and green hoses back to front. See where the green one goes to - might be the return to the fuel tank. which would explain the fuel pissing out.
See ya

Hey rob the first pic-

Blue bit goes to the plenum. Hose that you currently have going to the plenum goes where the blue bit is currently.

In the first pic the red one is the fuel return so needs to be plumbed back to the fuel tank.
