Boss kit question

Postby doin donuts » Thu Dec 29, 2011 9:20 am

Hey all

First off let me say excuse my ignorance if this is a really stupid question...my boss kit on my ae85 has had the horn wire pulled off so now have no horn. Can this wire just be replace or is it not worth it and just easier to buy a new boss kit and sell old one with no horn wire?

Thanks all

Do you know the make of your bosskit?? Just had a look at my hkb boss kit for my for my ae82 corolla and that wire is soldered onto the bottom of the boss kit, where it goes on the column So you should hopefully be able to get away with soldering a new wire onto it

Yeah it's just hkb one too I think? So would I just need to get a plug for the horn button and then solder the other end on?

Yip just replace it with a length of wire soldered on the booskit and an insulated female terminal on other. Job done
