Vinyl roof question

Postby doin donuts » Thu Jan 19, 2012 3:41 pm

Hey all

Iv fully redone the interior of my ae85 in black, seats re-upholstered,all panels pulled off and replaced with genuine 86 and redone in black, but what I wanna know is what can I use to paint the roof lining as I can't get it off? Is there a vinyl paint that's not a spraycan cause I'm fairly sure the spray can wont spray upside down.

Cheers all

Shouldn't be as far as I am aware. Mine was just held in place by four plastic plugs, 2 on each side, and then the interior trim holds it all around each side.
Are you trying to get the whole lining out, including the backing pad the vinyl is stuck onto?
Mine is the sunroof model so was also held in at the middle around the opening, maybe the non sunroof one is glued at the centre.

If the AE85 one is like the KE70's, they have clips that go in the window frame - no removal without glass removal, so dumb
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

If you have spent so much time effort and money on it then why not just remove it and get it done nicely
