Very poor weld quality and oxidising, also tends to have alot more splatter without a shielding gas.

you can get great welds with flux core, in fact on a limited power machine flux core is a better choice for thicker materials due to its extra penetration.

e71t-11 wire(standard hobby fluxcore wire) is designed to be used without gas and while you do get more spatter than solid wire , proper settings can minimize this.

what flux core is useless for is thin material as you'll just keep burning through.

this is the go. im a panelbeater and i have one of these at home. is realy nice to use. good welds. wont get anything better for that price. in also own a c02 bottle which makes haven gas cheaper($300 to buy the bottle and like $35 to refull). ive found the welding just as good on c02 compared to argosheld.

Haven't managed to track one down for a look yet. But is that $1250 inclusive? Freight? And when is the buy looking at going through?
