Hah! I find that Toyspeed and Oldschool have a lot more mature or intelligent conversations.... compared to other forums I have seen.

MAC_HATER wrote:hah - NZPC is a bit of a joke these days anyway though innit?

last copy i read was about 2 years ago - the poster car was a "sakked owt" Minitruck hilux - it had nothing really in it that made it stqnd out - it had chrome wheels - it was super low on airbag suspension so he could "flick switchez fo da bitchez" and it had an expensive candy paintjob - nothing above the average idiot who can apply for a GE Money loan - and that was the case with this one - the article basically went on along the lines of "yeah this is what you can acheive if you tick up enough shit bro!"

pretty sad actually now that i think about it - years ago NZPC would feature awesome cars where the owners had really put work into it - now they just feature people that have dropped it off to the local "bodykitz boost n Rimz" shop with a Instant finance blank Cheque D:

that aside - 200kmh in a 50? for $&#$% sakes thats retarded on a level rarley acheived!

you should pick up another copy these days, it has gotten a lot better

Definitly, thats what keeps me around seeing as I dont own any Toyotas these days. Great place to keep up with car chat, and talk crap pretty much.

Any dickhead that comes on these boards gets run off them pretty quick, especially text speak $&#$%, unlike some other forums.

i do like the grumpy old mens club hereabouts.

edacock does seem to feature on the cars of people who are younger than me, and who are probably douchebags. (judgements based on appearance ftw!)

as for NZPC, i stopped buying it some time ago - when the articles are along the lines of 'the engine consists of most of the greddy catalogue' or wtf ever... i mean really.

this pedey character who is now the editor strikes me as one likely to have an edacock sticker, but i will say at least he appears to be passionate about the scene, and about ruffling a few feathers.

Rumour I heard was 200k.....

Either way, clearly was a stupid act!

Given the wick that thing appears to have, 140k would come up stupidly quickly. Still, clearly they're not too bright, filming their very distinctive car doing skids on a public road.

Yeah the person took part of the original "film" and made it better

I agree Brad - but the owner would know how quick his car is so it'd wouldn't be a case of accidently going that fast. He would've know he was going waaaay to quick

Bit of a dick to be honest, silly thing to do not only on any day of the week, but the week before he was supposed to be a biggish attraction at 4&Rotors.

Maybe he realised that he liked his car and didn't want to write it off this weekend or perhaps NAC insurance rang and said they weren't paying out when the above happened so he picked the best option and impounded it. Becomes a folk hero with the cut spring fraternity AND gets to keep his million kilowatt evo intact - win/win?
