An amp for the better factory stereo option most likely

The amp was always under the passenger seat (with it's exploding then catch on fire capacitors!)

Box under drivers seat... Often there are motorway toll transponders located in this area - automatically debits your account when you drive through the Wangan expressway toll gate at 300kph!
I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

If there's a part number on it just fire it into toyodiy. Looks like a factory amp to me but I'm totally basing that on the vague recollection of what mine looked like when I last saw it.

No way si that an amp, and as Kinloud pointined out amp is under passengers seat.

It has an rf module, and plugs into far too many wires on the car loom for it to be electronic tolls, so i'm going with central locking

It is central locking (radio remote part). Looking at layout and one large micro controller it is definitely not audio. Too many diodes on the connector too (In fact looks like the diodes are there to allow safely pull down, and not fry transistors when something else pulls down)...

The keyless entry feature was only available as a factory option, which it seems most people didn't opt for because I have never seen a Levin in real-life fitted with that option until now (only seen it in the original sales brochure). If you don't have the original key fob then you may as well just take it out.

Or get a key if you want to add random rare factory options onto your AE101

Very hard to get a key. I had this in my Ceres and the key. But it never worked and Toyota didn't want to know about it.
