Amp blowing fuses

Postby true?no » Tue Jan 03, 2012 1:02 pm

I recently bought a fusion silver amp and sub package thingy as a cheap setup. After working for roughly 2 weeks it all of a sudden starts blowing the amp fuse. The fuse coming from the battery is fine. I've checked for shorts and cant find any, my question is, how many volts should be going through the amp fuse? I checked mine just now and its around 12.37v, does this sound right??

Main fuse for the amp would be battery voltage, so 12.3V is about right with car not running.

Disconnect everything except power& earth to the Amp, put fuse in, if it blows there is an internal short in the amp, take it in for replacement/repair. If it doesn't blow then reconnect things one at time till it does blow.. problem found.
