Right let's talk filters - either stock replacement, stock performance replacement or full intake kits!

These have always been some of the most popular products through us because they simply free up or create power. Especially in modern engines where plastic resonators and silencers are used to keep intake noises down.

Replacement performance filters are around $65 upwards and - if anything - free up power lost via clogged, dirty stock filters. There is usually the largest range in these filter types. Apexi is the most popular here, followed by K&N and Blitz / Trust!

Cold air or Short Ram intake kits range from $200 upwards (some are just filter + adapter, many are intake arm + filter kits) with AEM being the most popular, followed by Apexi. These will free up or give you the most power. Apexi is a good option because it suits many JDM chassis's and has a bell mouth design.

Are any of these good for use with karman vortex mafs? my k&n filter seems to have a negative effect on my ls400 - i think the oil upsets it...

OK a bit hard to find, as K&N do not list Altezza. I checked Apexi ($79 BTW) to see what other filters the one they list for the Altezza suit (i.e. Mark II, Gloria) so I could then check these models with K&N but they don't get 'em either!

The only one they list is for the IS200 2.0 which is this funny looking one:
