adjustables bangs and macking alot of noise

my mechanic says its quite normal for adjustys to bang and mack alot of noise when driving

he says its the pillow joint at the top

does anyone know how to reduce this noise?

a factory car has rubber bearing mounts to damp the noises out but at the expense of rigidity.

i suppose you could cut a sheet of rubber to fit between the top hat and the strut tower but again thats just introducing slop into the suspension

My camber plates on my car are making a bit of noise as well. I think you'll find that the pillow ball has become worn and needs replacing.

If they are as bad you you describe then you need new pillow balls..

Nothing pillow about a bearing!

But yes if it has started clattering then it is quite likely those.
Is it a rapid rattly noise?

And if they're Tein - they're about $700 for a rear pair....I know this from experience!

Spherical bearings which are teflon lined in that kinda size would be around $30-50 each.

Race series ones are more like $100 each which have a thicker and stronger teflon.

I use Aurora race series sphericals. They are awesome but $.

Last time I checked Autolign would supply Tein replacement pillow balls/spherical bearings for $125 + fitting + GST

I couldn't be bothered with new bearings so adapted a factory top hat onto the fronts, and locked the rear pillow balls in place to eliminate the noise.

I still have the front Tein mounts if anybody wants them to get rebuilt. Off Tein Altezza/JZX110 Type Flex suspension.

I wouldn't.

I had to replace the ones in my race car,
The engineering supplies place had them,
but there was twice the movement in thier new ones than there were in my old worn out one.

Ended up getting the right thing through a suspension place.

Yeah you have to get the right ones! They are different spec ones and it sounds like you got ones for mechanical activation on machines etc not the high spec ones.
