# Must have for race applications and to reduce you lock to lock turning by 33% (1.5:1) or 50% (2.0:1)

How legal is this? I was under the impression welding to steering components was a no-no

For race cars not an issue. Not sure if a road car would get a cert.
But no one would ever see it!

If it's welded you will never get it legal. Probably possible if you got the factory shaft cut and splined to suit.

The race guys are pushing through Pins then welding it.

Alot of people use them, you just dont hear about it.

just saw this... very interesting! could be keen on one.

have you had a look at the new version of the motorsport manual? there has been a clause added that suspension components need to be up to cert standard (i.e. crack tested) even for a race car. does this effect the legality of this for race use??

Possibly. But who ever you get to install it needs to be certified!
I know a guy who installs them and his all pass certs.
