Of course it started right up, its ex M.O.W :)

On a side note, its sad to see how things are done these days by contractors who put in the lowest bif to get the job, when compared to when MOW ran every project in the county, and did things properly.
wak thud gush!

Is that thing a 2stroke diesel? As far as my mito books say there where some 2troke diesels that used superchargers to run, just wondered if this was one of them.

Yeah looks like it. 2stroke diesels need superchargers to run.

Sounds like you shold pop into a Transdiesel branch and have a look at a Detroit 2 stroke,
Awesome bits of gear, and all have superchargers to run, wont run with out them,

I spent a few years working at transdiesel and did a fair bit with the old 2 strokes, good fun

Beautiful!!!

Bet it sounds the part too. On the topic of Detroir 2 strokes, they also sound absolutely perfect. Used to love watching the truck racing with the 6V92 powered KM Bedfords, which albeit slow, sounded AMAZING being punted around Manfeild.

The earlier years of truck racing (early 90's ish) were huge! Avon Hydes White tussling with Denny Hulmes Scania, the Eagle Spares and McGinty's K-Whoppers (Possum Bourne hooned in the McGinty's truck a few times) and who could forget Ron Salters R Series Mack... I particularly loved R Series' for some reason. So many more awesome memories of that period too... I have all the old programmes somewhere at the folks' place I should dig out and scan for some hilarity.

I have a small video of the start up which I am having trouble displaying.
Can send PM it for somelse to place.
The engine has a few burst plate to stop the superchargers from blowing off if it backfires. These are sounding working quite well until it picks up a couple of revs.
