wiper racks

Postby themaleman » Fri Feb 24, 2012 7:15 pm

hey dose anybody know if all ae92 wiper racks are the same? i went to pickapart and got 1 from an ae something (dont think it was a ae92) but the bolts that hold the mount to the body were backwards

wondering if any ae92 rack will work.

cheers
Liam

Define wiper rack? In all my years I have never heard that term before. Might help someone answer your question

I think he means the wiper linkages.. and if this search result from toyodiy is right, it looks like anything xE9x is the same

the difference between my levin one and the one i got from pickapart is in the mounts that hold the shaft through the body. the shafts are set on an angle through the plate that holds them to the body, when i fitted the pickapart one it shot the shafts out pretty much 180 degrees from the correct angle, as in the 3 holes you see are on the wrong side

heh, okay, so the coupe one is specific to the coupe. so you need a levin or trueno one.

motors arm position shouldnt matter a bit, just run it for a couple cycles before you put the wipers back on. It'll move back to its home spot the first time you run it.
