Good on ya! $&#$% awesome little cars. NA, NB or NC?

We got my ex-partner an NA8CE, I unbolted the seat and took it for a test drive... super fun! My old ancient knees/hips would never allow me to own one though. A mate has a turbocharged one, its nutty.

Just kidding!
I've raced against several mx5's both NA and tubro
Very worthy opponents!

Enjoy
I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

A modded version (suspension/17's/cold air intake) was getting in the way of my wife in a Demio at Taupo so either a shit driver or the cars are not as flash as people say.

Shit driver.

Markku (Truenotch) is doing 1:25's at Manfeild in his old mans one, harassing Pro7's with it.

I'm just about to buy one too! Join the NZ MX5 forum, it's pretty good. There's a few people on Oldschool with them too.

Sacrilege or delusion?

Its been a few years since I've driven a hachi... I prefer the hachi for interior space and ability to get in and out of without bringing my knees up around my ears.

Possible true Ben! LOL

Ahhhh was it Trevor and Barb with their NA mx5 at Taupo? - I never saw them race but they'd hang around on trackdays and do laps all day.
They were both well into their 70's and had been involved in motorsport their whole life.
Never seen more amazed looks on some young dude's face when they wander over to the driver of the mx5 that passed them like they were standing still and discovers that the driver is a 70+ woman!

I'd own one. People who give me shit about wanting to own one quickly change their mind when shown pics of what they can look like, or with a good engine in them, ie..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9w4QQVG ... re=related

Rotary conversion seems fairly common and easy as well, which is probably what I'd do if I got one.

Anyway nice purchase! Pics please.. :)
