Altezza 3SGE 365CC injectors

Postby RollaJ » Tue Mar 27, 2012 9:06 am

Hey All

I'm currently rebuilding my old 5K carbi turbo and have upgraded to a 7k injection and the Altezza injectors look to be identical to the factory 7KE ones. Ive been doing a lil reading and the base pressure seems to run at a high 60psi in the Altezza fuel rail. Would the injectors still run at 365cc or drop down if I was to run them on a standard base pressure of around 40psi in the fuel rail??

Impossible to say 100% without testing, but I would imagine the CC rating would drop slightly and the spray pattern would change, (for the worse) when they are designed to be run at 50% higher pressure than what you're planning.

Damn I dont know is my standard K series fuel lines and 7k furl rail will like having 60+psi pushed through it. Does anyone know of any other injectors that look like the altezza and 7k injectors that run around 300cc??

I see Taz_Rx is running 7mge 315cc injectors in his 7K manifold, Ive looked on googles and they look like totally different injectors. What should I be looking for when looking for an injector??

You could take one of the injectors to a shop and get them CC rated at 40psi to find out, and get them to note if the spray pattern looks particularly amiss.

Probably cheapest option if you've already got them 8)
