Hunter, looks like you are getting right royally F$#Ked over .

you got a lawyer?? I would be getting someone heavy to start asking why either the security (if camera owned by Eden Park) or Police (if community survelance camera), won't act on ID'ing the car / theives.
Chances are you personally can't request (privacy laws etc) but a lawyer/ Private investigator might be able to?.
I've been a bad bad boy. I should read the rules and behave before I get spanked by an admin

f#@k you i won't do what ya tell me

I think the bigger point for me is all you guys know. You see this car crusing your neighborhood you know. You could be next.

I was robbed on a Thursday 1020am till 11am. No trees in the yard, 100% open with a business next door. The cops let them go scot free, not me.

Consider it my community service to let as many people know as possible. You and anyone else could be next. Watch your own neighborhood!

I wish you would stop saying that.
Like I said go see the case file and get the facts. Don't you think it's probable the car or plates were stolen?
I doubt so very much that the police are doing nothing and letting an easily solved burglary go free.

And don't go marching in there all angry saying "let me know who they are so I can get them" Because you will be told where to go.
At any time with the case number you can ring up and ask for progress reports, or to speak to the officer in charge.

Ok whatever, when you get a letter from them saying "there's noting else we can do", you reckon it's time to form a posse? I guess I'll just sit in the lounge chair and do nothing.. You a role model?

I had quite a bit of kit stolen from a mates car many years ago, found out later from someone else they caught the guys. Cops didn't bother contacting me and another guy who had some stuff taken as well. But the owner of the car was constantly on the case (as was his parents) hassling the cops for a result and some compensation from the kids that pinched our stuff.

Basically they are too busy to follow up on everything and do what they possibly should do, this is what happens when a company is understaffed. By the time I got on to them all they did is give me the guys names and a "Try small claims court to get some money back". Being young, lazy and more interested in the kiwi tradition of getting inebriated I never followed it up.

Morale for this rant if there is one? push the guy in charge or find someone half willing to give you the time of day then call him ALL THE TIME until he gets sick of you and gets you want you want, start with every other day then daily then twice a day. Eventually, hopefully he will give in.
