In car entertainment - winnie the pooh edition.

Hi All,

Planning to take a trip to wellington relatively soon and my 18month old daughter will be taking the trip with me.

I want to purchase something that I can attach to the back of the passenger seat that will play videos for the 9 hour trip.

There are plenty of dvd players out there but i just want a screen with a usb unput that can play videos.

Does anyone know of a new zealand supplier that sells something like this for cheap, dont want to spend much more than $100 and while i can find dvd players for that price i cant find a usb player version.

cheers all :D

Could you convert the DVD's to a file that will work on your smart phone (assuming you have one) and duct tape it to the back of the seat?

Cheap chinachinachina Android Tablet? Sun $150 on Trademe nowadays. Could even plug the audio output into your car's Aux input (if you have one) for better sound.

One of these will read off a usb but would be a bit tricky to fit to a headrest.
Do you have a center console you could strap it to?

My dad has a digital photo frame that plays video thru memory sticks and usb,
think it was a few hundred thou, would also need a 12-240 invertor to power it,
its pretty slimline
Unfortunately i have idea on the brand,

I've just done the same thing...inverter and laptop cheapest option. Also much less buggy, restarting etc. is a PITA when you're on the road and the missus has no idea how it works...
