Wow - didn't think I'd end up reading the whole thing, but I did.

Very good read. Good on him. Yes I can't believe he didn't have an electric winch (he did have a manual winch though) but if it mean one month less travel, then you can start to understand the rationale.

Non-lockable diff was the real suprising part.

Good on him - a real adventurer.

Awesome thread - well worth the read

Gives me the sh*ts though to see all the know-alls, experts and do-gooders criticising them for what they did and did not do/take with them etc
