Small Dash Lights

Postby BZG Wagon » Fri May 25, 2012 7:42 pm

New new dash lights for the Terrano. They are very small and I haven't had any luck finding some.

Any ideas who I can try?

So far Appco, Dick Smith, Supercheap and Repco have told me they dont stock them.

Ditto for the A/C lights in my Caldina.

Are they the type that have two wires that feed through the base? If so, most auto sparkies will carry them
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

I have a feeling you'll be after the wheat grain lights. Maybe shifted away from these in modern-er cars?

Wheat grain sized bulb (funny that) with two wires coming out of them. You'll need to keep the base and replace the bulbs.

DSE used to stock these before they turned into every other appliance store.

Its sad to see them go down this route but I guess they had to follow where the profit comes easiest. I personally can't stand DSE now and will shop elsewhere.

Jaycar were useless. Their sales guy was adament they didn't stock them (despite pointing out they had them on their website).

Repco Westgate had some one of the variants I needed and said they could order the rest. Very expensive though $4.50 - $11 per bulb.
