Tein
Good old Tein! We've got sharp prices in May for Tein and we're going to try to crack you a deal! Tein are one of the best known coilover brands out of Japan - especially for the street and weekend-warrior market. The kits are solid, perform in many different environments and hold up under harsh driving conditions!
We've always sold Tein but with Daiyama slipping off the Radar, Tein has become a more prominent choice for daily drivers especially. They cover a range of specs and prices - from $1300 + Shipping right through to full-blown race kits over $10,000! But most kits are under $3000 delivered including Flex, Mono Flex, Street Advance and so on.
Tein also do lowering springs, strut bars, hood dampers and other little bits and pieces (arms, EDFC). If you want such items, just ask for a price.
All items come either from Japan or the US - we can check stocks and ship / price from one or the other - which ever is cheaper and quicker! Just let us know the chassis and we'll get on it!
Cusco
Cusco is a more track and race orientated brand who focus on handling and putting power to the ground. Therefore, much of their line up is encompassed by LSD's, Clutches, strut bars, stabalizers, arms and coilovers. They don't really dabble in power! As such, they are one of the best choices for handling out of Japan with a wide range of kits for street through to pure endurance track work. And, Cusco covers those odd-ball chassis's that most don't touch including some very old options!
We generally recommend Cusco for people who want to hit the track a little more than they want to hit the street. The coilovers range in price from $1500 + Shipping way, way up (for the 3X and Comp kits) to many more thousands! But for the Joe Blogg (like us), the street kits (Zero-1, 2, Vacanza, Sport) are great options for longevity, performance and to get that drop.
The stabalizers and strut bars are some of the most common items we sell because they work to stiffen the chassis without losing feedback through the seat of your pants. Stiff is great but not when you need to visit the dentist because your car keeps skimming over bumps. Cusco bears this in mind when it offers functional upgrades.
So that's the intro for both, we're long-in-the-tooth when it comes to choosing the right options so just ask if you are a little lost!
