Gotta know the cause to have a solution. It's definitely not a wheel bearing - that's a whole other common issue/thread.

Ah geez... But I guess most cars would have some common issues right? I mean if we dig into the euro r, we will find some common problems they have as well?

Yep Euro-R's have common problems too. Unlike GTT's though, people know how to fix them because they know what causes them.

Have heard CL1's develop issues falling out of 5th gear, but unsure if they were just thrashed or something.

didn't think an extra 40hp would mean an extra $400 for insurance....but it does lol.

Got quotes from AMI where CL1 would cost 600+ and GTT would cost 1000+...

And AA wouldn't even insure GTT on me because im under 24 :P

Alfa 156 sports wagon with Lancia Delta engine and uprated turbocharger. AA just laugh at me on phone. I am over 30 and they just laugh.

I managed to ensure through the Motor club for $641 per year fully covered.

Check the Motorclub for insurance. they are very good.

AA won't touch anything modified.
My first car at 18 was a v6 Capri. No problem. Escort running 1700cc on side draughts and a cage? No way at all.

Not true, I have 3 modded cars with AA. Basically limited to 25% of the value of the car in mods, same as many other insurers.

They would not touch the Alfa. the Alfa engine mounts did not change and the gearbox is in factory position. It went from 145hp to 230hp and all certified. They said it is "a high risk" and they said no. Same with tower and state.

Interesting, they told me no mods at all. But times do change

I was told that if I was to buy a CL1 I should get Torneo instead of Accord due to a common syncro problem on the fifth gear.

Anyone who owns or have owned an Accord CL1 that have came across this problem?? And how much would it cost to solve this problem?

thanks

uh guess I should go search the Honda forum....

You don't say.

I didn't think the Accord and Torneo were mechanically different.
