st205 celica stuck iscv -- sorted!

My understanding is with the 3 wires, pin 2 is positive, pin 1&3 are ground, ground out the left side it closes, ground out the right side it opens.

I've attacked it with carby cleaner and tried powering the pins no success, so i pulled it completely apart and I cant even turn that knob by hand, that knob should be able to turn right?

so this means i will need to replace both parts?? do they both come together?

anyone got any suggestions that might save me buying this new??

update: after soaking in carby cleaner for a while, the knob and the door have loosened up a bit, still gritty in there. fingers crossed it will work when i put it back together

Ok, attached the electronic part to the alloy part, the door is now opening and closing as it should when the appropriate terminals are charged. however the door when closed is not creating a 100% seal (boost leak) so instead of plumbing this to the air filter i will plumb it to the intercooler



put gasket in freezer hopefully will shrink a little and stiffen up so it can fit back in its place as i dont see a spare in my 3sgte gasket set leftovers



gasket shrunk, used a little drop of ados to get it to sit in there.
