Spacer question

I have seen a few of the proper bolt on spacers that change the stud pattern.
Anyone know if they're available in 25-30mm with 4x114.3 to 5x114.3 stud pattern?
If they exist it's probably going to save me a heap of money.

2nd option might be abit cheaper if there going to need to be custom made.

IIRC the max width bolt on wheel spacer that can be certified is 27mm?

I had the ones from Al I don't like them, the inner lip is about 1.5mm too small, wheels dont locate dead centre unless until all 5 nuts are on finger tight and the wheel knocked into a semi centre position before the final tightening, and the supplied nuts are aluminum of an off size for both metric and imperial, third tightening will round them

Not that easy. Starion needs a 0 offset and 4x114.3. Trying to find them in a 17" rim and either 8s and 9s or 9s and 10s is pretty hard.
Can convert to 5x114.3 but would probably need to get the hubs and stuff from the states at a big cost, as the 5 stud stuff is pretty rare here and in Australia.
Plenty of rims out there to suit in a 20-30 offset in 5x114.3.
Realistically I wouldn't want to run more then 25mm spacer anyway, unless someone knows of some rims to suit?

Remove hubs, bash out studs, take to local engineering firm and get them redrilled to 5x114.3, then fit new studs.

Getting all four done should work out cheaper than a pair of spacers.

That is odd, factory wheels are ET45 16x8....

factory st205 wheels pfl&fl are 16x7.5 et45, i had them wrapped in 225/50/16 t1r's and when i went coilovers they rubbed the springs, i had to put on 15mm spacers on the rear which upset the handling

so i swapped them for some oz crono 16x8 et38 with 205/55/16 and removed the spacers, theres about 2mm clearance between the tyre sidewall and the spring

if i had 225's on they would rub, i have no traction with 205's its like front wheel drive spinning :/

you should be able to find some 17x8's to fit a V7/8 WRX they will be ET45-48, run a 20mm spacer, that way you get ET25 offset and 20mm more caliper clearance. There are a few sets of rims around in that sizing as i was about to go down that route with my AE104 before it met its untimely demise.

Actually thinking about it I have a set of 17x8 motoform sekters with tyres in the garage. Were on my legacy but decide to keep it factory so put the bbs wheels back on. Tidy clear brembos! Not sure on offset though, its not on them. But tidy sit nice and flush on the legacy.

Get some 3 piece wheels with gay offset and get new outers made. A +35 17x7 with a new outer 3 inches wider will give you around -3 offset. 2 inch wider on the fronts will give you +9 or so.

Mate has those on his starion. Had to run 5mm spacers to clear. He has the 10s on the back and runs spacers too. Starions are funny old cars! Lol

Unless I go custom wheels or get stupidly lucky, the chances of finding a pair of 17x9s and 17x10s in 0 offset is almost impossible.

All the spacers above are made in China.
I've seen some pretty crap work - Studs not even on their PCD, centralising bores not a nice snug fit.
Prob also depends on the batch you get, some may be fine some may not be fine.
A guy on here who raced an AE82 had spacers brought from a sponsor here the the studs broke, nearly lost his wheel! happened on 2 of the 4 spacers he had. He said the studs were not even on their PCD so when he tightened the lugs it would try pull the studs and obviously bend them and put alot of pressure in the wrong direction.

I would go with the proper branded ones like H&R, Zonolli etc.

Or get them custom made in NZ.
