Google is great, along with a bit of luck.

I know "zip" about track days, now at least I have some knowledge to apply in a practical sense.

Heel to toe changes I have known about for years, but geez, sounds like a very technical skill to master!!! (I need bigger pedals for starters) :lol:

I think driving is a hands on skill. You can read as much as you like, but you simply need a lot of practice in order to be good at it. Some of it is natural talent. Such as reaction time and your ability to process information fast enough to cope with high speed car control.

Telemetry is good for providing feedback to the driver from his race engineer. So they can find out where they need to pick up pace or what they are not doing right to get a certain lap time.

Car modifications/set up VS driving is two different roles. Driver's job is to provide feedback to his chief mechanic in order to get the car to his "liking".
