Here is the link to the potential London GP than McLaren and partner, Santander have been working on.

It would be pretty impressive having a race past so many well known monuments/buildings, not to mention far closer for the crowds than the huge distance away from the cars that they have to sit at Silverstone.

Considering 23 races is being discussed for next year, I for one hope it happens in a year or two

The Manfield F1 GP is closer than we all think then

Im not sure if anyone here knows who Maria De Vilotta is, but she is the official Marussia F1 teams test driver, and was involved in a bad accident two days ago while conducting a straight line test for the team at a local British airport.

Reports say that as she was coming to a stop near the teams temporary crew area when all of a sudden, the car accelerated very quickly and unfortunately collided, helmet first into the loading tray of one of the trucks. Initally she didnt move for 10 to 15 minutes, and then eventually started moving her hands.

She was rushed to hospital with severe head and facial injuries and while initial reports were hoping for a positive outcome, she has sadly lost her right eye and is still in hospital undergoing further surgery.

Extremely horrible and never would have happened had the test been held within the confines of a track.

Thoughts are with her and her family at this time

Just a completely freakish accident, and I guarantee this will highlight the inherent dangers of tailgates being at half mast.

Fully open or fully closed, really is the only safe positions.

So.. Have McLaren gambled on a dry setup. They seem to be a little too off the pace and from what I saw Hamilton was aquaplaning a fair bit.

Not at all, mate. Rain is predicted tonight so they have a wet set up like everyone else.

They just couldnt switch on the intermediate, and thus had no grip. Lewis was the fastest on full wets though, so he will be hoping its all or nothing in regards to the rain, as intermediate territory will see him falling back through the field very fast, as ambient temps and track temps are going to be within a degree of what they were yesterday.

Its going to be a great race

On a side note, Mitch Evans got pole for race 1 and came second in the race, and extended his lead in the championship Race two is on around 7 so he will be starting in 7th, lets hope he can claw his way up through the field.

A great result for Mark, indeed He is having a very strong season again, and its great to see. I dont think Seb is enjoying it as much though...

And it seems not only did the McLarens not have pace on the intermediates, they didnt have any pace on the drys either. They have alot of work to do if they hope to stop another season slipping from their grasp.

I'm telling you don't give the Spaniard a sniff he'll take it with two hands and it seems Ferrari have given him a car he can take the fight to RBR and Mclaren aswell I think he's looking really dangerous at the begining of the season he was well off the pace but now Ferrari have lifted there game I think you'll see the spaniard really show his ware's.

Yea. Alonso is looking quite good. As much as I have disliked his unsporting attitude in the past (he seems to be changing that tho) and would rather someone else win the tittle.

Grosgean takes out another person on the first lap. Bad luck for di Resta. First non finish since f1 debut??

And Maldanado crashing into another. Hes got to be taking the piss. The Silverstone incident was no where near as bad a ramming Hamilton for the second time but I reckon a disqualification is just if it happens again.

Good race though imo. Was nice to see Webber get another win.

Yeah he still hasnt penned a new contract, which is giving the media a lot of material to work with atm, but I think he will re-sign wit MacLaren again as its the safest bet.

Possibly Lotus would be worth a look if they decide to get rid of kimi or Romain, but thats unlikely given how well theyre doing

In other news, Bottas was fastest at the Silverstone young drivers test

Always a chance I guess, but Mercedes would have to have made some pretty big inroads since before the break to make up that much.
